CONGRATULATIONS COACH FRANK DASTI NAMED
NJAC COACH OF THE YEAR 2018
Coach of the year: Dating back to 2013, Madison's Achilles heel was the sectional quarterfinals. Under the leadership of head coach Frank Dasti, Madison put together a breakout season. it took down Hanover Park, 7-2, knocked off Lyndhurst, 3-2, in the sectional semis and stunned Rutherford, 3-2, in the North 2, Group 2 final to win its first sectional title since 2012. Madison's season ended at the hands of No. 1 Pascack Hills in the Group 2 semis. It finished the year with a 24-6 record just a season after Madison went 12-16. Paul Links, Walter Brownlee, Steve Coppola, Vincent Costa, A.J. Gupta, Will Hart, Aidan Kane and Michael May keyed a Madison offense that averaged 7.3 runs per game. Its rotation was spearheaded by Links (5-1), Hart (6-2), Maybaum (5-1) and Jack Melvin (5-0).
